미국 아마추어 무선 연맹은 매년 3회 (봄,여름,겨울) Rookie Roundup (신참 끌어모으기?) 이라는 행사를 진행합니다. 미국 햄들이 새 입문자들을 더 많이 모으기 위해 고심한 것 중에 하나라고 생각됩니다. 이 행사 홈페이지에 가면 소개의 글 "The Rookie Roundup is a contest aimed at Amateurs licensed for three years or less. This six-hour event is held three times per year (April, August and December). Rookies can contact anybody, while "Old Timers" make contact with only Rookies. Mentoring is a big part of this event!" [신참 끌어모으기는 면허를 딴지 3년 이하의 신참들을 겨냥한 컨테스트입니다. 이 6시간짜리 행사는 1년동안 3번 (4월 8월 12월) 개최하게 됩니다. 신참은 어떤 국과도 교신할 수 있지만, "선배"는 오로지 신참들과만 교신해야 합니다. 멘토링은 이 행사의 아주 중요한 부분입니다.]  과 행사 진행에 대한 블로그를 볼 수 있습니다. 우리들도 신참과 새 입문자들을 위한 여러가지 아이디어들을 모아볼 때가 아닌가 생각이 되어 소개드려 봤습니다. 미끄럽고 추운 날씨, 건강 조심하세요. 2007 ARRL Periodicals on CD-ROM 도착. ARRL 회원이면 1년에 한번 온다. 지난해 1년간 ARRL 에서 발간된 회원 월간지 QST , 격월간 기술지 QEX , 격월간 컨테스트 정보지 NCJ 등 정기 간행물의 시디롬판이다. QEX 같은 경우 실제 책이 얇아서 아쉽지만, 햄용 장비들의 자작 최신 자료들은 정말 대단하다. 【sLiMe】
